Star plot

Star follows three talented singers – Star Davis, Alexandra 'Alex' Crane and Simone Davis – as they try to become a successful girl group in the cutthroat music business full of competition. Every girl has her own motives. Star and her sister Simone struggle to overcome a bad childhood with countless foster parents, while Alex tries to step out of the shadows of her famous father Roland Crane. Meanwhile, coke-addict Jahil Rivera takes over as manager of the trio and Carlotta Brown emerges as a surrogate mother for the girls. The trio has the ambition to become world stars, but soon reality shows its ugly face and the price of success turns out to be higher than they ever expected.
