Sh'at Neila plot

October 6, 1973. The Arab states led by Egypt and Syria launch a surprise invasion and nearly conquer Israel during the holiest day of the Jewish calendar: Yom Kippur. We follow the battle through the eyes of various people involved. We see a television star searching for his son, a fearful teenager preparing to fight and a hardened commander who befriends an information analyst. All of this is set in the dust and rubble of the greatest war the Middle East has ever known, but which in retrospect, ironically, could have been avoided quite easily.
