Outcasts plot

A group of brave pioneers leave Earth, which is in bad shape, and settle on the planet Carpathia. Ten years later, the inhabitants of the Forthaven settlement have lost contact with Earth. They are not sure if more transporters will arrive. President Tate rules the settlement with the help of Stella Isen and her agents Fleur and Cass. Expedition members like Jack Holt are gradually discovering their new home. However, secrets and something beyond the walls of Forthaven threaten to destroy their future.

Outcasts season 1

Pretty nice BBC series, which unfortunately starts too late.

First of all: what a mediocre pilot! How do you scare viewers away? . Only at episode 4 does it become worth following, but by then too many viewers had dropped out. ep. 4 is also the best of the season, not least because of a very good role by Nonso Anozie. For the rest, it doesn't amount to much in terms of characters. Daniel Mays is a drop cock, Amy Manson slightly annoying, Hermione Norris simply scary and Liam Cunningham also shows way too little.

As the season nears its end, interesting developments follow in rapid succession. Unfortunately, the season ends with a huge cliffhanger, leaving countless questions unanswered. Too bad it was canceled after one season. In terms of mysteries, it had the potential to continue for several seasons. It just doesn't fit at all with a channel like BBC. Could have been a great series for something like Syfy.
