Nieuwe Tijd is set in the middle of a bustling student city where nine young people live together in one house. Despite their sometimes idiosyncratic and outspoken characters, they share joys and sorrows, friendships are forged and loves even blossom. However, the homely setting also has a dark side. A shadow side. Although the residents are close to each other, they do not know everything about each other.
