Overnight, Largo Winch inherits $385 billion and becomes the leader of one of the most powerful multinational companies in the world: Group W. He also faces many enemies, in particular the Adriatic Commission, which is responsible for the death of his father. To help Largo in his fight against the Commission and against the Governing Council of Group W, who are not happy that he is eradicating the greed and corruption common to Group W, he forms a team of advisers consisting of his old friend Simon Ovronnaz, Georgy Kerensky, a former KGB agent turned high-tech expert, ex-CIA agent Joy Arden, and his father's adviser, John Sullivan.
