La Certosa di Parma plot

The young Fabrizio del Dongo is followed against the background of the French Revolution and its consequences. This man is an ardent admirer of Napoleon, goes to the army, is wounded and after his studies as 'Monsignore' arrives in the city of his dreams: Parma. Since he has not yet taken his oath of faith, he lacks nothing among his female acquaintances. This leads to anger at a jealous rival and later even to an assassination attempt on him. His old teacher, whom he meets on a holiday trip, offers him a dark future...
