Karaoke plot

Daniel Feeld is a successful screenwriter. He has to deal with terrible pain in two ways. First, he has a serious condition in his gut that doctors just can't diagnose correctly. In addition, there is an insufferable director named Nick Balmer who wants to cram his mistress, the actress Linda Langer, into every shot of his new TV series 'Karaoke'. While he takes alcohol first and then morphine for the pain, Daniel notices that people around him begin to recite bits of dialogue from his piece.
