In Therapie plot
In Therapy is about Conflict, Denial and Intrigue. Can you still be a good therapist when your own life is in chaos? Paul Westervoort has a flourishing practice as a psychotherapist, but finds it increasingly difficult to keep his private problems at bay. As a therapist, he should take a neutral role. Creating a safety zone in which his patients can work on themselves. But Paul's emotions about his marriage to Karen and his relationship with his children are increasingly permeating the practice space. So there is Lara. The attractive doctor he treats on Mondays. She declares love to him and will not rest until he returns that love. Or Aron on Tuesday, an apparently tough Air Force pilot who believes he has every right to dig into Paul's private life. With Sophie, the young gymnast with suicidal tendencies, Paul seems most in his element. She comes to therapy on Wednesdays. But why is Paul unable to have a normal conversation with his own daughter? On Thursdays there are Aya and Michel. A couple with relationship problems he coaches while his own marriage is on the brink of collapse. Every Friday Paul visits his supervisor Mira. That too is not without struggles. Paul continuously questions Mira's methods. For six weeks, Paul slides to the brink of the abyss. Is life really better when analyzed?
