Good mini-series about a man who has his hands full with his schizophrenic twin brother. A beautiful (family) story that is also told here in a beautiful and also fairly modest way. Especially an excellent double role from Mark Ruffalo as the twins. Unfortunately it didn't really grab me anywhere and therefore just short of 4.0 stars.

Fascinating but somewhat distant family chronicle. In the first fifteen minutes a bad grandfather, a schizophrenic twin brother and a terminal mother are introduced. Despite the phenomenal acting in all roles, the misery that passes is almost unbearable. I know this much is a bit too much. Totally agree with Scorsese; The series hardly really enters or moves. Director Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The place beyond the pines) lives up to expectations, but the feeling of a missed opportunity still lingers.
