From Here to Eternity plot

After arriving at the army base in Hawaii, Private Robert Prewitt gets into trouble with his colleagues and his commander when he doesn't want to box for the company team. He befriends Private Maggio and falls in love with Alma Burke. At the same time, his immediate superior, Milton Warden, falls in love with Karen Holmes, the commander's wife. Then, on December 7, 1941, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor.
