End of the Valley plot
Kaea Williams works as a lawyer for Te Pāhua, his grandfather's company. Te Pāhua claims ownership of the Tāniko Valley, which makes up 25% of the company's landholdings. However, the Ngāti Kiokio people who live in the valley also claim ownership. Williams, along with his partner Maika, are sent by their grandfather to the valley to speak with the Ngāti Kiokio and find a solution. However, the two are met with an unfriendly reception. They are called Te Pāhua's lapdogs and are looked down upon.
