After his marriage is probably on the rocks, Thomas Stickler, son of a wine grower, returns to his Austrian hometown of Rust after a few years abroad, where he wants to try to rediscover himself. But soon his father dies, leaving Thomas to inherit his vineyards. His sister Andrea is dismayed because she had expected the winery to be transferred to her. So she has to figure it out herself, which isn't easy for her...
