Blood plot

Cathleen Hogan lives an isolated life and is on the run from her past. She is forced to confront her when her mother's tragic and 'accidental' death takes her back to the Irish countryside home and her family, whom she has barely seen for ten years. But this awkward, unplanned reunion will awaken dark demons from the past and shed new light on her mother's death. The consequences will change her life forever.

Blood season 1

What a dramatic family, at least more dramatic than criminal. Quite a good season, although I found the last part (The Truth) quite a bit less than all the previous parts. The cast was good. The plot was good too; Now and then some tension but also the separate twists ensured that the whole remained fascinating. Since I have seen both seasons I can say that this was the better season.

Blood season 2

Solid but predictable and stale British drama, which runs too fast on the auto-pilot. Adrian Dunbar is more at home in Line of Duty than in this family story, in which he bumps a lot from a to blood and acts dutifully. You can't say that nothing happened. OMG, what we are presented with is really too much of a good thing. As a whodunit, this thriller-drama doesn't hold up either, so I say: stop after two seasons.
