Beyond Paradise plot

Inspector Humphrey Goodman returns from the Caribbean to start a new life in the idyll of the British countryside with his fiancé Martha Lloyd. Seeking a quieter life away from the stress of the big city, Humphrey has taken a job as a detective in Martha's hometown. However, they soon discover that rural life is anything but peaceful and that the town has a surprisingly high crime rate. As a result, Humphrey again has to deal with many challenging matters.
