A Teacher plot
Claire is a high school teacher. She is dissatisfied with her marriage and desperate to connect. Then Eric, a student, begins to show interest in her. Despite it being illegal, the two have an affair. When they are caught, their forbidden relationship turns out to be complex and has consequences, both for themselves and for their friends and family.

American drama in 10 short episodes about a relationship between an older student and his teacher. In the puritan US this is a thing. In Europe we look at such a mutually agreed relationship in a more nuanced way. Teacher Kate Mara (built 1983) acts well and with conviction. With her girlish appearance, this tiny wife seems more like a peer of the student, which causes some confusion. But her doubts and desires are aptly typified. You know from my previous reviews that I often find American drama rather smooth and superficial. A Teacher confirms this in the first episodes, which are reminiscent of a visit to the McDrive; it satisfies the appetite but can never live up to the promise of a real meal. Nevertheless, the series gets more and more intense and I find the final episode surprisingly good. Still a quick snack with surprisingly spicy bite.
