Tiger plot

This documentary focuses on the rise, fall and comeback of globally known golf icon Tiger Woods. In the 1990s, Woods became a golf legend, but then he was often plagued by personal problems and injuries. Nevertheless, he managed to come back, culminating in his victory at the Masters 2019. In the film, images from behind the scenes are interspersed with interviews with the people who know him personally.

Excellent documentary about the rise, the top, the fall and the scramble to the top of the best golfer in the world.

I would have preferred if they had followed the timeline. The flashbacks only made sense at the end as a sort of comparison. The gossip and backbiting can be stolen from me, but it is functional because it runs like a red thread through his life. That Tiger was living a second life seemed like naivety, because by definition he was under a magnifying glass. Or was it his hormones, his longing for a good life, being unapproachable, etc. Questions about that are not answered.

His father's influence on Tiger is discussed several times. Projecting your own lack on your son is unacceptable, but it happens every day (also outside top sport).

It's nice to see that Tiger is happy to play golf again. Especially because his fellow golfers greatly appreciate him.

Unfortunately after the documentary, Tiger was injured in a single-vehicle accident and only shattered her. The question is whether he will ever be able to play golf again.
