Medieval Lives plot

Terry Jones, is also a recognized expert on the Middle Ages. He takes us on a historical exploration across Europe. Along the way, he encounters a host of typical 'Medieval' such as pious monks, damsels in distress and noble knights. But Jones looks beyond the familiar clichés. He goes in search of what really happened in the Middle Ages. We see, for example, how two elderly people saved England for the young King Henry III, how abbots had their own armies and how bishops ran brothels.
