The Foo Fighters celebrate their 20th anniversary by documenting a city road trip through eight cities. During this tour they also record their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways. Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl directs the series, exploring the musical and cultural backgrounds of eight cities: Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC and New York. The band records songs in legendary recording studios that are part of the unique history and character of each location they are located.
