Cruijff plot

Based on unique audio recordings made in the final days of his life, as well as conversations with his family and friends. The series highlights his revolutionary influence on football at Ajax and FC Barcelona, his time with the Dutch national team, and his later successes as a coach. A key element is the revelation of new details regarding the traumatic hostage attempt in Barcelona in 1977.

Ik heb lang naar deze documentaire uitgekeken, maar uiteindelijk viel hij me toch tegen. We komen niet veel nieuws te weten, al vind ik dat op zich niet eens zo erg. Wat mij vooral stoorde, was de montage, die voelde te snel en rommelig aan. Zeker in het begin van de documentaire irriteerde dit me mateloos. De documentaire gaat nergens echt de diepte in en maakt grote, abrupte sprongen. Ik wil niet zeggen dat de documentaire slecht is, maar ik had er meer van verwacht.

I had been looking forward to this documentary for a long time, but in the end, it disappointed me. We don't learn much new, although I don't find that particularly bad in itself. What bothered me most was the editing, which felt too fast and messy. Especially at the beginning of the documentary, this irritated me immensely. The documentary doesn't really go into any depth and makes big, abrupt jumps. I don't want to say that the documentary is bad, but I had expected more from it.
