When his pregnant wife and two daughters are found dead on February 17, 1970, Jeffrey MacDonald, army surgeon for the United States Army Special Forces, is sent to prison. He is charged and convicted of the murders and is still in jail today despite insisting he is innocent. Based on the book of the same name by filmmaker and author Errol Morris, this five-part documentary series takes on the complex challenge of uncovering the truth.
