Best of the series yet, this film adaptation of the fifth book by Robert Galbraith, aka JK Rowling. The plot is intriguing and the relationships between the characters become more and more interesting. The storyline in which we learn more about Strike's past is also very nice. I'd like some of this. Unfortunately, we now have to wait a while again, since there is no talk of a sixth book yet...

Season 1 of this detective developed by JK Rowling I found a rather sleep-inducing overture. We have now arrived at season 4, to the fifth book in this CB Strike series; Troubled Blood. 944 pages compressed into 4 episodes of one hour. This season is the best yet. A solid story, an occasional vicious dose of tension, good chemistry between the protagonists and a trip from London to the Cornish coast for the beautiful pictures.

Troubled Blood exudes a retro feel; super 8 movies, the dilapidated Land Rover and many flashbacks to the 60s and 70s. Even more, Cormoran Strike itself seems to come from another time. The plot is not very special, but it can certainly get through. In every way a classic British detective with cultured characters, calmness and regularity.

As fun as ever; this series based on the books by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) has lost none of its charm. In addition, the plot is also a bit more exciting and complex this time than we were used to from the previous parts, which of course can't hurt. Here and there a bit too stretched and the pace could have been a bit higher, but the adventures of the sympathetic main characters are so entertaining that this doesn't detract much from the fun. There is already a fifth book, so the series can continue for a while.
