Liberty plot

Set in Tanzania in the late 1980s, "Liberty" tells the story of two Scandinavian expatriate families who dream of changing the world. They soon discover that good intentions are not enough to realize their ideals. The miniseries paints a painful portrait of the naivety of a group of foreign welfare workers, whose grandiose plans clash with local resistance and irreconcilable cultural differences.
