Justified plot

The modern cowboy Raylan Givens has a clumsy tendency to shoot the criminals he hunts remarkably often. After yet another fatal incident, he is much annoyed in the first episode sent back to his hometown of Harlan, a shabby mining town in the southern state of Kentucky. There, in collaboration with the other US Marshals (a division of the US Federal Police), he must solve cases that all too often bring him into contact with his own past. His main rival is Boyd Crowder, with whom he used to be good friends, but who has made radically different life choices and now leads a small drug ring.

Dit derde seizoen kan naar mijn mening tot hiertoe beschouwd worden als het beste van de drie. Maar het is tevens ook wel het meest gewelddadigst van de drie. Er wordt namelijk niet gekeken op een executie meer of minder, 2 jongemannen die off screen seksueel benaderd en mishandeld worden, onder dwang Russische roulette moeten spelen, je wijs laten maken dat ze je nieren eruit gehaald hebben, arm die afgehakt wordt enzoverder. Waarom ik dit dan toch het beste seizoen vind, omdat deze serie mij opnieuw weet te verassen met overtuigend cool acteerwerk, ditmaal vooral van Neal McDonough als Robert Quarlez of Jere Burns als Wynn Duffy en natuurlijk nog steeds Walton Goggins als Boyd Crowder.. en natuurlijk ook opnieuw dankzij de scherpe dialogen en oneliners. Dit is een spoiler maar wat ik wel jammer vindt is dat de State trooper Tom Bergen het loodje legt in de voorlaatste aflevering, dat was wel een tof personage

This third season can be considered the best of the three so far in my opinion. But it is also the most violent of the three.

After all, it does not look at an execution more or less, 2 young men who are sexually approached and abused off screen, are forced to play Russian roulette, let you believe that they have taken your kidneys out, arm[/ spoiler] being chopped off and so on.

Why I think this is the best season, because this series again surprises me with convincingly cool acting, this time especially from Neal McDonough as Robert Quarlez or Jere Burns as Wynn Duffy and of course still Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder .. and of course again thanks to the sharp dialogues and one-liners.

This is a spoiler but what I do regret is that State trooper Tom Bergen is dying in the penultimate episode, that was a great character
