Death in Paradise plot
Impossible murders on a beautiful Caribbean island. Detective Richard Poole is the perfect man to solve them, if only he didn't hate sun, sea and sand so much. When Richard is sent to Saint-Marie on the small island of Martinique to solve a mysterious murder, he feels completely out of place.

Very nice series! A cheerful combination of original detective stories and bland British humour. Sara Martins is not the best actress but that is compensated by Miller who is perfectly cast as Richard Poole. I will definitely buy series 2

I've pretty much trashed this series, but now it's actually become my guilty pleasure, things can change, said Bredero.
Due to several surgeries, I've been sitting on the couch a lot, so I decided to watch this again. It's still incredibly unbelievable, of course, and the acting is rarely great, but I can still enjoy it now.
The beautiful nature and the lovely people also play a role, of course....

The 2 I give is for the beautiful Guadaloupe, but yes, it was probably made for my and all grandmothers. The stories are paper thin and the acting is really horrible, but hey, something for everyone...
