Bäckström plot
Police inspector Evert Bäckström is by no means a model of a righteous citizen, let alone a police inspector. He is lazy, corrupt and cynical and constantly brags about solving 99% of his cases. He is a thorn in the side of the young Commissioner Annika Carlsson and the new District Attorney, Hanna Hwass. Then the ten-year-old boy Edvin reports to him with a human skull that he has found on the uninhabited island Ofärdsön.

Great crime series from Scandinavian soil. This time a little more light-hearted and an attempt has been made to bring in a little more humor. Season 1's plot is more interesting and well-constructed than Season 2. There are elements and characters in Season 2 that recommend seeing Season 1 before watching Season 2. The cast is fine and includes quite a few familiar faces from past crime series. 6 episodes of 45 min. per season keeps the whole interesting. Season 2 at least has a decent ending.
