The Kids Are Alright plot
Set in the 1970s, the series follows a traditionally Irish Catholic family, the Clearys, as they undergo changes big and small during one of America's most turbulent decades. In a working-class neighborhood outside Los Angeles, Mike and Peggy raise eight rambunctious boys who spend their days there with little supervision. The household is turned upside down when the eldest son Lawrence returns home and announces that he is leaving the house to "save the world."
