Dan and Kevin are two best friends since elementary school and city millennials struggling to thrive in their new neighborhood: saucy Brooklyn's Flatbush. Dan is a teacher who is dulled and visibly distressed. He cares little about his students and only gets through the day with medication. Kevin could also do better: he is an unsuccessful painter who sleeps on Dan's couch. To make ends meet, he works as a bicycle courier. Even when they're losing, the friends find there's little to gain from tackling hipsters, mental health issues and the rising tide of gentrification.
