Breeders plot

Paul and Ally juggle full-time careers, aging parents, a mortgage, changes in their relationship and the unenviable difficulties of raising their young children, Luke and Ava. When Ally's estranged father shows up at the door, the family essentially adopts a third child - but this comes with extra baggage and a mind of its own. Paul's own parents, Jackie and Jim, are ready to help, but their generation sees parenthood a little differently.

Breeders' S2 is a logical (and even better) sequel to S1. Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard play parents of now young teenagers in S2. Breeders is about much more than the trials and struggles of parenthood; we get a realistic glimpse into the life of a sandwich generation. Humor, drama, family, friendship; I can't help thinking of the iconic Cold Feet. Breeders starts off lightly in S2, but gets significantly heavier as the end of the 10 episodes approaches. Comedy becomes drama. With a melancholic undertone as only the British can do.
