Barris is a narcissistic father of six who tries to adjust to his wealth and his built-up television empire. The series is largely set in his household, where his fictional teenage daughter Drea is filming a documentary about her family to include in her enrollment in New York University's film school. Kenya arranges a studio, expensive production equipment and a seven-person camera crew that follows the family.
