At Last the 1948 Show plot
Sketch program written and performed by comedians John Cleese and Graham Chapman, both later known for Monty Python, along with Tim Brooke-Taylor and Marty Feldman, their colleagues on 'The Frost Report'. Between the skits the ''dumb blonde'', ''the lovely'' Aimi MacDonald, always announces the next item. It was in this series that many famous skits first saw the light of day, such as 'The Book Shop', skits from the later series 'Marty', and 'The Yorkshire Men', in which old men try to outdo each other in semi-nostalgic and increasingly absurd stories about the appalling conditions in which they would have spent their childhoods.
