Vikings plot

Legendary Viking warrior Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) battles his way to become of the Viking tribes. Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods and also fiercely defends his family. Legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.

The series is getting less and less for me, especially since the characters don't interest me very much yet. Everyone seems to be acting on autopilot and none of the characters are quite generic. The sets and costumes are beautiful to see, the sword fights are brutal and the denouement of this season was very well put together. I'm not sure if I'll continue watching fit, but that's mainly because of the number of episodes of the later seasons.

It remains fun and entertaining, but compared to season 1 we have to be honest, this is a lot less. The new characters that are introduced are just not always that exciting. But the well-known characters from season 1 also go through very unbelievable evolutions and almost everyone changes camp all the time. The viewer is misled, but it does not benefit the story or its entire credibility. In a way, it's just not realistic anymore. I also think the acting is a bit duller. And also in terms of color patterns, the same colors often return, so that something goes against the grain. I find the theme very interesting and it remains very entertaining, and although I have certainly binge-watched the season, I do feel that I am a bit disappointed after this season.

Bit of a mixed bag after the fun first season. For example, the developments in England with King Ecbert are very interesting, they give the whole even more color. On the other hand, people do not take enough time for a number of important matters, they are then rushed or handled with implausibility. The last episode was also a bit muddled and not very satisfying.
