The legendary Daniel Boone is the leader of the new Kentucky settlement of Boonesborough. He conducts investigations, interacts with both friendly and hostile Native Americans, and fights for the American cause during the American Revolutionary War. Daniel is aided in his adventures by the Oxford-educated Cherokee Mingo, his beautiful red-haired wife Rebecca, his precocious son Israel, his teenage daughter Jemima, the innkeeper Cincinnatus, the Native American leader Gabriel Cooper and the lovable louts Yadkin and Josh Clements.
