Crossbones plot

In 1715, on the secret island of Santa Compana New Providence, the evil pirate Edward Teach better known as Blackbeard rules over a nation of thieves, bandits and sailors. British spy Tom Lowe is given his deadliest assignment: track down Blackbeard and take it out as quickly as possible. The only problem is that Blackbeard isn't the dumbest and catches on to Lowe's intrigues almost instantly, even using him in his quest for the one thing that will make him immortal as a pirate, namely the British chronometer. With this device he can calculate the course of any enemy ship. A cat-and-mouse game begins, as Blackbeard wants to take possession of the device.
