Magnum P.I. plot
Thomas Magnum is a former Naval Intelligence officer who, after his discharge, founds his own private detective firm in Oahu, Hawaii. He lives in Robin's Nest, the luxurious guest house with a sea view of owner Robin Masters, a well-known author of suspense books. In exchange for maintenance and security of the estate, Magnum is allowed to stay there. Robin's Nest is run by Englishman Jonathan Quayle Higgins III, an ex-British Army Sergeant Major, and is assisted and guarded by two highly trained Dobermanns, Apollo and Zeus. Furthermore, his friends Rick Wright and TC Calvin lend a hand during his investigations.

"Higgy baby!!" 
A fun 80s series that gets off to a slow start in the beginning. The whole thing about Thomas's soldiering past can honestly be stolen from me! This is not a drama but a comedy detective series. The red Ferrari 308 GTS, the black helicopter with yellow and red stripes from TC, the coast of Hawaii, the bickering between Thomas, TC, Rick and Higgins, the grumpy Brit with his two Dobermans, the villa of Robin Masters... the puts you in a summery, happy holiday atmosphere. The familiar tune with the electric guitar is only introduced in episode 8 at the end credits and from episode 12 also during the opening credits.
