Hunter plot

James Hunter worked for a US government intelligence agency until 1969, when he resigned for disapproving of the agency's methods. He left the world of espionage to open a bookstore in Santa Barbara, California. In 1977, General Baker is tasked with recruiting six counterintelligence agents to create a new secret service. Baker's first choice for the new agency is Hunter, who accepts the assignment and continues to use his bookstore as a cover.
