Edward and Alphonse Elric's reckless disregard for the fundamental laws of alchemy tore half of Ed's limbs from his body, leaving Als soul to cling to a cold suit of armor. In order to recover what was lost, the brothers scour a war-torn land for the Philosopher's Stone, a legendary relic that grants the ability to perform alchemy in impossible ways.
