Flashpoint plot

Flashpoint is about the Strategic Response Unit, a special unit of the Toronto police force. This unit has the task of solving extreme situations that the police themselves can no longer handle. Examples include hostage-taking, bomb threats and heavily armed criminals. These crimes are not about "ordinary" criminals, but about normal people who get their act together through extreme events.

Ondanks de minpuntjes toch alle vijf seizoenen gezien; op zich heeft deze serie wel entertainmentwaarde. Als ze de leden van het team een iets harder voorkomen hadden gegeven, dan was ik misschien een halve ster hoger uitgekomen. Maar het soms simpele niveau, de af en toe zielige dialogen en last but not least een zwangere vrouw als teamlid houden me toch op 3 sterren. De IMDb score vind ik ik toch echt iets te hoog.

Despite the drawbacks, I have seen all five seasons; this series does have entertainment value. If they had given the team members a slightly tougher appearance, I might have given them half a star higher. But the sometimes simple level, the occasionally pathetic dialogues and last but not least a pregnant woman as a team member keep me at 3 stars. I think the IMDb score is really a bit too high.
