Durham County plot

After his partner is murdered, Detective Mike Sweeney moves his family to the small town where he grew up. Underneath the rural tranquility of Durham County, however, lurks dark secrets. A series of brutal murders points to a serial killer on the loose. Mike suspects that his neighbor Ray, whom he remembers from his childhood, could be the culprit. However, Mike also leads a dangerous double life and a dangerous cat-and-mouse game develops between him and the serial killer.
