Maya Hawke hopes her character meets a hero's end in the final season of Stranger Things.
Robin was introduced in the third series of the popular Netflix show and almost immediately became a beloved character among fans.
Hawke has developed into a main cast member alongside her fellow friends from Hawkins.
Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers, have fans on alert these days as it seems in every season at least one popular character is killed by one of the many creatures or monsters that haunt the town.
And, Hawke wants a similar fate for Robin in series five.
“I would love to die and get my hero’s moment,” she told Rolling Stone.
“I’d love to die with honor, as any actor would. But I love the way that the Duffer Brothers love their actors.
"The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them. I think that’s a beautiful quality that they have, and I wouldn’t wish it away.”
Millie Bobby Brown who plays Eleven on the show previously stated her hope that many characters would be killed off in the final season.
Stranger Things spin-off
The series will be wrapped up with Stranger Things season 5, set to be released in 2024. Thereafter, the Duffer Brothers will look at ideas for a spin-off.
However, any new show will not feature characters like Eleven, Hopper, Robin, Mike, Steve, Dustin, Will, Mike, Lucas, Nancy, etc.
"I've read these rumours that there's gonna be an Eleven spinoff," the Duffer brothers confirmed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
"That there's gonna be a Steve and Dustin spinoff or that it's another number. That's not interesting to me because we've done all that.
"We've spent I don't know how many hours exploring all of that. So it's very different."
Executive Producer Shawn Levy recently revealed that work is being done to create a Stranger Things Cinematic Universe.
