Movie universes are the in-thing in Hollywood at the moment, but James Bond certainly won't be getting that treatment.
The 007 franchise is currently on hiatus at the moment following Daniel Craig's retirement from the role after No Time to Die.
Within that feature, there were two hugely popular female supporting characters - Paloma played by Ana de Armas and Nomi played by Lashana Lynch. Some fans clamoured for potential spin-offs for both characters, but those people won't be getting their wish.
When asked by the Guardian if the Bond universe might have a TV spin-off, producer Barbara Broccoli replied:
“Our focus is making the feature films. When we get going on a Bond movie it takes our full attention for three or four years so that’s our focus.
“We make the Bond movies for the big theatrical screen and everything about the Bond movies is for audiences to see around the world on that format, so we’ve not wanted to do television.”
James Bond reality show
Although there won't be a fictional spin-off within the Bond universe, we still have a reality series based on the adventures of 007.
007: Road to a Million is presented by Brian Cox, and gives participants the opportunity to win a huge payday.
The show “follows nine pairs of everyday people as they are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges for a shot at each winning a life-changing £1,000,000 ($1.2 million) prize."
