Een Jaar van Je Leven plot

In this reality show and game program in one, forty participants shut themselves off from the outside world for a year. They are going to play the game of their lives: for 365 days everything revolves around working together, fighting, carrying out assignments to survive and eliminating the fellow participants one by one. After all, there is one million euros ready for 'the last man or woman standing'. The forty men and women are strangers to each other. They come from all corners of our country and have the most diverse backgrounds: from a well-known TikTokker, a hairdresser and an ex-soldier to a Syrian refugee, a catering entrepreneur and a gardener. In the kick-off episode, the candidates say goodbye to family and friends for a year. Only the most necessary basic facilities are available at the location. The participants receive assignments with which they can earn money for the household pot. Is the jar empty, but the group still wants to order something? Then they can use the large prize pool of one million euros. The result is that at the end of the year the ultimate winner will go home with a lower prize. Do they take euros out of the pot or do they stick with what they have? In addition to the earning assignments, the participants also play elimination assignments. The group votes which of the participants should play that assignment. If the command fails, that participant must leave the program. If he or she succeeds, he or she has to designate someone who has to leave… Each elimination makes the group smaller and the chance of taking the huge prize pool home at the end increases.
