In this reality series we follow a number of Spakenburgers. Spakenburg has always been a real fishing village, just like the former island of Urk. Spakenburg is the village of farmers and market vendors, of meat and fish and football and of very faithful and slightly less disciplined churchgoers. The inhabitants of Spakenburg have a sober outlook and a healthy dose of self-mockery. In the series we see a number of outspoken and hard-working inhabitants of Spakenburg. These Spakenburgers show us the world of cows, churches and hairdressers.
