Invisible Monsters: Serial Killers in America weaves together the stories of five notorious serial killers - Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, The Green River Killer, and BTK - into a single narrative of what happened in culture, communications, law enforcement, media, forensics and technology that allowed them to disperse and evade capture. These apparently normal men, who still terrify many, developed disturbingly intimate and practical approaches to murder that ran counter to their public existence. The stories of these killers and their victims are told by those closest to them, including exclusive interviews with survivors, investigators, forensic psychologists, prosecutors and victims' relatives.
