Arupusu no shôjo Haiji plot
Heidi grows up with her aunt Dete in a small village. When Heidi is five years old, her aunt gets a job in Frankfurt. Because Aunt Dete can no longer take care of Heidi, she takes her to her grandfather, who lives high in the Swiss Alps with his Saint Bernard dog Joseph. In the beginning, the cheerful Heidi and her stiff grandfather have to get used to each other, but after a while they become very fond of each other. Heidi loves living in the mountains. She becomes best friends with the goatherd Peter who comes by every day to herd grandfather's goats.
