Juinen plot

The viewer is introduced to the fictitious villages of Juinen and Ter Weksel. Mayor and aldermen of both villages give an insight into the problems of small municipalities. The central characters are mayor Van der Vaart and alderman Hekking, who portray the abuses in local politics. Budget cuts in Juinen in particular lead to problems, such as the closure of the local library. The regular bus service will also be discontinued and replaced by the HBM (Hekkings Busmaatschappij), with Hekking acting as driver.
