The Chelsea Detective plot
The series is set in the London borough of Chelsea, and follows Inspector Max Arnold, who, despite being born there, feels little kinship with the wealthy elite who live there: the detective himself lives on a battered houseboat, far away from them. Together with his partner DS Priya Shamsie, he tries to solve a series of murders.

@Moviemeter: there is a second season.
The stories in this series, in both seasons, all revolve around the same principle: reviewing enough possible candidates for the perpetrator, but what a surprise; let it be someone else in the end. The plots could have been made into something, but unfortunately it all comes across as a bit simple and silly in this series. Some well-intentioned silly jokes in between complete the whole. Looks away quite a bit, nothing more.
