Mother and Son plot

Arthur Beare is in his late thirties and has been living back with his mother, Maggie, since his wife's divorce. There, not only does he suffer from her incredible naivety, constant forgetfulness and intrusive attachment, Maggie also ruins Arthur's every attempt at contact with other women. In addition, Maggie prefers her other son Robert, even though he only contacts her if there is money to get from her.
