The Silent Service plot
Documentary series about the US naval fleet, in which real events from various wars were reenacted with a real naval ship, interspersed with real archive footage. Most of the stories came from World War II, which were set in the South Pacific, or the Korean War. The presentation and production were in the hands of 'rear admiral' Thomas M. Dykers.
