Transformers: War for Cybertron plot

The war on Cybertron continues. Megatron wants Optimus to agree to a treaty. Optimus does not agree to the treaty, which puts the two sides in direct opposition to each other. The Autobots are outnumbered, and it seems like a lost cause. The only thing that can save the Autobots and the survival of Cybertron is the 'AllSpark'.

Transformers: War for Cybertron season 1

Missed opportunity!

After many mediocre sequels to the first (and still quite fun) Transformer movie, it didn't seem such a bad idea: a computer animation series with the giant robots. But precisely what had made this choice smart is missing: convincing transformations. And when we see them, they go way too fast (the Bay movies unfortunately had the same problem), with the well-known bloep-blap-bleep sound. The backgrounds are also quite boring. I got the idea that Netflix put little money into it. The robots are well drawn and the light effects are also beautiful.

The voices are decent, but you miss the charisma of the voice that Optimus Prime played in the movies (including the cartoon). His nemesis Megatron also refuses to come to life. Bumblebee (who came to life much more in the first film and his own spin-off film) is also way too flat.

The fembots (or what should I call them?) seem like a new idea, but they can already be seen in the older (and much more colorful) cartoon Transformers The Movie. The story is meritorious but can never really captivate, it does not break new ground. It is once again about old, rediscovered technology that can be used to gain power. There is not a lot of action either, there is more talking.

All in all, quite nice as a snack, with a tight enough, but very forgettable.
