Q & Q (1974-1976)

The first series is from 1974. So I was 11 or 12 when I saw that series. And it occurred to me that I really liked it then. Now about 50 years later I saw him again. And I wondered if I could still make it through. But I actually really liked it. It's still a pleasant series to watch. Quite a good story too, although it is excruciatingly long drawn out over no less than 13 episodes that I have seen in one sitting today. While I initially thought it would be six episodes. Anyway, nice story. Also very well acted except for a few lesser scenes. In fact, it is often the children who act less well. And it's also nice to see a lot of recognizable images from a recognizable time. And it turns out that there is also a sequel series. I didn't know that anymore. But I'll check it out another time. I am now full again.

Very nice series, which I could still remember after all these years. I bought the DVD box last Christmas. To my surprise, there was also a second series. Never knew and apparently not with more people, because -after some inquiries in my circle of acquaintances- they only knew about this first series.
Furthermore, I thought from my childhood that Belinda Meuldijk was in this as the older sister, turns out to be a completely different person.

The series is still very fast paced and exciting. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger.
This in contrast to the Kris Pusaka, which came across very slowly now and often looked more like a tourist travel program than an exciting youth series.
